How We Can Help

Mentoring Mothers

Mentoring Mothers are experienced mothers who volunteer to help other women through their pregnancy and transition to motherhood. A mentoring mother is a role model, a confidant, a friend—someone who has been there, knows what you are going through, and has the skills and knowledge to help guide you.

Each of our mentoring mothers undergoes special training in how to be as supportive as possible to the women they assist. With a mentoring mother on your side, you are not alone during your pregnancy and as you adjust to life as a new mother.

SPC’s Mentoring Mothers program is currently available to women living throughout Suffolk County. We have also helped launch Mentoring Mothers programs in other areas of Suffolk County. Contact SPC at 631. 475.5400  for more information.
